The "Jersey Shore" gang is now back right where many fans of the MTV hit think they belong — in Seaside Heights — taping their fifth season.
But first comes Season Four, which begins Thursday and transports the motley crew across the Atlantic to Italy. These new episodes were shot over six weeks this spring in Florence, one of the most important architectural and art centers of the Renaissance.
Given the splendor of that setting — and the reportedly strict ground rules to which the production had to adhere — could this season really be as raunchy as usual?
MTV's preview clips certainly seem to suggest so. But the mayor of Florence reportedly tried to thwart the public rowdiness. In fact, RadarOnline reported that everyone was packed and ready to go, but their departure was delayed by filming-permit problems.
