Is it true that if we apply for candadian PR we can't apply for visitors visa to cananda.

I want to apply for PR to canada and also would like to go for stamping to cananda sometime after 4-5 months.

I had filed for my 6th year h1b extension without the lawyer , I did so bec the paper work was similar to my last extension ,and i saw that lots of people on the IV forum had Filed the H1b extension themselves.

Anyways, my human resource personal hired a new secretory and she some how misplaced my H1b receipt/possible RFE? , I have the EAC # from my cancel check ; when i check my status online it says case received and pending my PD is Jan08 ,2007 and the CSC is processing Jan. 13th, my question is if a RFE is issued will that be posted on the online case status website? I have asked the HR to request a duplicate copy from INS , should i also ask them to contact USCIS over the phone in addition to the written request?

I got You 2 A# number. one is from I-140 and other is from I-485 which i filled on July 2007.

Is it any problem to get 2 A#? if yes then what should be plan of action?
If No then which one is active A# number.

Please advice.

I have I140 approval notice, Where can I see the A#?

It should appear on your I140 approval under the Beneficiary. Under your name, the A# should appear there.

Even my lawyer could not remember where my A# came from and I pointed it out to her.

Some people say, they didn't get it. I'm not really sure.

Please check your I140 approval.

one of my colleague has received mail notification to the lawyer that application was picked in selection. H1b applied in masters premium.

there was a thread before which I am unable to find..abt a guy who was told that Ap is only for emergency travel...someone had quoted a law from INS taht said otherwise...I want to keep a copy of the law handy in case I find an eccentric IO at POE...

Anyone has a link to that legislation..?

Difficult times also present opportunities. Anyone who can start it, especially in EB2, can really benefit from the timing simply because there are MUCH fewer people going for it these days for different reasons. Wait till everything turns rosy again and you'll find yourself among hundreds of thousands of fellow GC pursuers. Sitting in the huge PD2011 queue while watching PD2008 - 2010 people getting fast approvals won't be fun.

The best time to start GC process is always yesterday. And if scrutiny is the concern, let's face it, there is not a good time for it. It's always worrisome until you get that card.

i took only one dd totally 4322 (4000+322) for h1b first time stamping.in thehdfc bank some other people also did the same thing.

if its wrong means how come hdfc people will give dd as a single one.

please tell me is it ok because i already took the appointment also. is there anybody please suggest me. before going to interview is there any dds i have to take ? your suggestion is really helpful for me.

Yes, they will return the old passport. You should always carry all your passports. However, only the latest passport is the "active" passport. Any new VISA stamp will be on the latest passport.

All VISAs stamped on your old passports remain on the old passports.

Why do you need to go to Canada ? If your you have I797 you are approved and can start working with adjustment of status. Am I missing something ?

B T W one andhrite from Detroit gave 1 mil USD to clintons for gracing TANA 2007. I don't know if he is a consulting company owner or a doctor but many andhrites run consulting companies and they would not love us to be freed :)

I have bit complicated case. Please have a little patience to go through it. I had two I140s filed in 2007. One was under EB2 and another was under EB3. In July 2007, we filed I485 along with the EB3 I140 receipt (as per my employer). At the time of filing I485, both I140s were pending. In May 2008, my EB2 I140 was denied because of education issue. But at the same time my I1485 was also denied. The reason USCIS gave for denying I485 was that as I140 is denied so I485 was also denied automatically. But we attached the EB3 I140 receipt along with the I485 application. In month of May 2008, we filed MTR for I485 to reopen the case as my EB3 I140 was attached with the I485 and EB3 I140 is still pending. We also filed the appeal for my EB2 I140. In month of August 2008, my EB3 I140 was approved. I opened many service requests with USCIS for I485 MTR but to no use. After waiting for 10 long months since filing I485 MTR, I received a letter from USCIS in January 2009, saying that my MTR is sent to AAO. This is so frustrating. I was under the impression that MTR should not take much time.
Gurus, pleas let me know what are my options left now. I read in forums that people write letters to congressman and senators. I want to know the following things.
1) How to get the addresses of Congressmen and senators?
2) Should we send letters to local Congressman and Senators only? or we can send letters to any congress man and Senators?
3) Will the info pass be useful in my case?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

I get this impression that they primarily mean the "Other Worker" category AOS rejections done in June 2007...I don't know what rules govern that category, but rejections did happen despite visa bulletin indicating current status for that category and AILF is considering this lawsuit. Now they are assuming that this might happen for EB2, EB-3 categories also. Plus we have this $4.4 billion CIR failure theory. There is no document date mentioned in this doc. So, I don't know how AILF is so confident that this will happen for EB2, EB-3 categories, for the rejections of applications has not even happened yet.
