... you can learn from:
Mean Girls (2004)
Regina George (Rachel McAdams): Let me tell you something about Janis Ian. We were best friends in middle school. I know, right? It's so embarrassing. I don't even... Whatever. So then in eighth grade, I started going out with my first boyfriend Kyle who was totally gorgeous but then he moved to Indiana, and Janis was like, weirdly jealous of him. Like, if I would blow her off to hang out with Kyle, she'd be like, "Why didn't you call me back?" And I'd be like, "Why are you so obsessed with me?" So then, for my birthday party, which was an all-girls pool party, I was like, "Janis, I can't invite you, because I think you're lesbian." I mean I couldn't have a lesbian at my party. There were gonna be girls there in their bathing suits. I mean, right? She was a LESBIAN. So then her mom called my mom and started yelling at her, it was so retarded. And then she dropped out of school because no one would talk to her, and she came back in the fall for high school, all of her hair was cut off and she was totally weird, and now I guess she's on crack.

Alright so this gallery of pictures of Matthew Bomer at some videogame endorsement celebrity football game thing has put several thoughts onto my mind.
First off, this picture below is screaming for a caption isn't it?
That dude's pulling down his shorts! Course if I were playing football with Matthew Bomer I'd try to yank off his shorts too. (Okay if I were within five hundred feet of Bomer I'd try to yank off his shorts, regardless of what was going on, it's true.) I do wish we had a better view of Bomer in that shot but it's also screaming for this side-by-side:

Oh and Matty also gave us a whiff of abs:

God he's so perfect he's hateful. My final thought on this set of pictures? That I totally thought his jersey said FLAMERS the first time I read it and I thought, finally! He's come out and told us! Alas.

Hey remember that time a couple of weeks back where I sloppily wiped Mia Wasikoska out of a picture because I wanted to see Jane Eyre director Cary Fukunaga and Jane Eyre star Michael Fassbender standing next to each other and I couldn't find any pictures of them without her in the middle? Patience, my pretties - Fassinating Fassbender just posted several pics of the two good-lookers all up in each other's grills - or you know within reach of each other's grills - for a screening of the film at the Sarajevo Film Festival.
Of import: check out Fassy's buzzed head!
My fingertips are having phantom sensations of running themselves against the grain of that fuzz and I just might pass out from it.

As long as we're talking about film festivals I won't be going to and the movies I won't be seeing at them, Slash has the list of films that'll be playing at Venice this Fall and two specifically are delicately putting on a single white glove and slapping me about the face and neck, laughing cruelly at my misfortunes.
Alps, the second film from Dogtooth director Yorgos Lanthimos. Dogtooth was my second favorite movie of 2010. Here's my review. And here's a previous post on this movie.
Wuthering Heights, by Fish Tank director Andrea Arnold. Fish Tank was my fifth favorite movie of 2010. Here's my review. This is Arnold's 3rd film after Fish Tank and the also-brilliant Red Road.

Today I'd rather be...
... rough-riding with a trashy Ryan Gosling. (via)
Wow, white-trash looks good on Ryan, who knew. Although has there been a look that hasn't worked on Ryan? (besides this one, of course) He even made that weird half-balding mustache look in Blue Valentine hot, if you ask me. Here he looks like he'd smack you in the side of the head with a beer bottle, belch, and then demand a blow-job. Hot!
These are from the set of The Place Beyond the Pines, which he's starring in for his Blue Valentine director Derek Cianfrance. It co-stars several other people plus Greta Gerwig! Hooray!
ETA There's three more shots of him all bleached-out and sleeveless (via) because this shit is fueling some good thoughts today, obviously. Obviously.
