Doesn't that look so much better than anything you've seen advertising-wise for the new Planet of the Apes movie? I swear, why won't studios let me run them, I'd make them so much money.

Anyway whoops forgot to mention earlier this week that I'm off today through Tuesday! I know you guys need a lot of preparation to deal with my absence - medication, over-sized sunglasses, and what some might call excessive foot bathing is involved - so I apologize for springing this on you so suddenly. Send me the medical bills, I promise to make myself a nest out of them totally care.

Alright smartassery aside I do have something for you - my weekly write-up of the weekend's new movie releases is up at Celebrity Beehive. There's nothing out this weekend that I much want to see (although I could probably be dragged to Rise of the Planet of the Apes for the air-conditioning) - we're just holding our breath for next Friday when Final Destination 5 comes out. HELL YES. Y'all have a nice weekend! I'll be back Wednesday.

This has already sped around the internet fasting than a hopped-up bullet but I was busy laughing at Alyssa Milano so I missed it until now, but here be Henry Cavill in his Supes costume!

(via) Click to embiggen. If I were going to complain - who, me? - I'd say that costume appears to be way too padded and those don't appear to be Henry's real muscles there at all. The thought did flit through my head while watching Sucker Punch that hmm, Zach Snyder sure does like to stylize his images, and that means Cavill's gonna look pretty touched-up to the point where it's not gonna feel like we're seeing him in spandex at all, so sad face to that.

But! I like Zach Snyder's style, as I've pointed out and felt shamed over time and again, so I am torn. I think if I weren't wanting to stare at Henry's ass so badly I would like the look of this. But... ass...

... that keeps on giving, and giving, and giving,
and giving, and giving, and giving, and giving....

(thanks Mac)

Today I'd rather be...

... hanging around with Kellan.
Click that to embiggen. Speaking of embiggened,
god he's just gotten huge. Too huge maybe?

... but back in October of last year Chris Pratt gave Vulture a lesson on how to put on weight, and it is delightful. He is delightful. I am filled with delight! (Also, ham.)

.

I'd love to leave this post to that picture alone because that picture alone is fucking hysterical, but to clear up who that bum belongs to I'll add one more down below.

Anyway happy birthday Greta, my beloved! Can't wait to see you in Whit Stillman's new movie (and perhaps wash the stink of the not-your-fault-at-all Arthur remake away).

.

Surprise, Daniel Brühl!

... tonight when I see him like he did at last night's show, or else! Also, it best not rain. Or else! Pics via here, you can see a bunch of videos of last night's show here. He done lost his mind. Actually it doesn't look too much different from the bonkers shows I saw him put on last Fall... except for this newly acquired and appreciated rejection of sleeves.

I know I must have posted on The Real World's Danny Roberts at some point in this blog's past, it seems insane that I might not have, but a quick search came up with nothing, so let me just let it be known that Danny Roberts, from the New Orleans season of The Real World, is my forever boyfriend and y'all need to step off. (We were born only four days apart!) Apparently he's starring in some gay show from a producer of The L Word about gay people in gay old Los Angeles and Towleroad has some pictures from the shooting of this gay show with gay Danny in the shower making out with some guy that was on that other gay show Noah's Arc and it's all wonderfully, enthusiastically gay.

... by several sources - two out of zero readers polled agree! - that there are people who do not find Dominic Cooper attractive. Obviously I'm inclined to disagree, perhaps to the power of infinity and beyond, but I guess it's not up to me to judge insane people's opinions (out loud). Point being, this.

.
.
But before you make any hasty snap judgments, you should probably check out this new-to-my-eyes photo-shoot of Dom in Flaunt magazine (including that shirtless pic up top) because damn.

What is wrong with you people??? I mean I see the Boston terrier thing just fine but that doesn't mean he's not the sexiest Boston Terrier ever put on Earth! Once The Devil's Double is on DVD and I can screen-cap the extensive coverage of his magnificent ass then hopefully we can put all this silliness behind (har) us. A heap of Boston puppies don't hold a candle to that butt! (And yes, I never thought I'd type that sentence just as much as you never thought you would read it.)

Hopefully that will be enough incentive to click over to The Film Experience, where I just did a round-up of everything we know (or at least all that I know - I don't know if you know more than I know) about Park Chan-wook's next movie Stoker, which Till joined the cast earlier this week and I've been blathering about like a lunatic, because I am in fact a lunatic.

What? No it's not quite enough incentive? Okay then here's a pic of Matthew Goode for good(e) measure. That oughta do the trick.

.

Be my bastard boy, Jon Snow.

Did this week's True Blood really melodize the sight of Alexander Skarsgard's pumping bum to Neko Case singing one of my favorite songs of hers "I Wish I Was The Moon" or did I fall and hit my head and enter some strange dream netherworld where the greatest things I could ever imagine all mushed themselves up together into one big fat audio-visual ball of hallucinatory eyeball-bursting glee?
.

.

Via FF some pictures of Michael Fassbender
checking off another fantasy costume from the list.
I hope he's a cowboy next!
.

.

.. to keep getting himself cast in movies then he's going to have to get more pictures taken of himself to disseminate on the internet, because I about ran clean through what there is in this gratuitous post of him way back in February. These two might be it.

He just joined the cast of Park Chan-wook's Stoker, which we've been following the casting news for day in and day out here to the point where I'm sick of writing all the names out again and again that are in the film at this point. Everybody's in it! Everybody!

Director Len Wiseman is an attractive fellow and married to a very attractive woman (Kate Beckinsale, ya know), so I suppose he can comfort himself with those things - plus all his money, so much money - when people like me say he is also on top of all that a fairly terrible director. The Underworld movies are pretty much unwatchable (save Scott Speedman's hotness), but I actually pretty much liked a lot of Live Free or Die Hard but that'd be Timothy Olyphant's doing. And is that's really all he's directed so far? That's weird. Anyway he's currently making the Total Recall remake of course, which due to his general terribleness I don't have a lot of faith in, especially when something as completely awesome as Paul Verhoeven's version exists. Still, we'll see. And news like this helps my pessimism - in talking with Collider about things he's shooting a couple of different ways in case the MPAA gives him trouble, he says with a smirk:

"There's the different versions of the three-breasted woman."

Hooray! Now we just need some crimped hair little people prostitutes and we'll be all set! Oh and he's a shirtless shot of Colin Farrell on the TR set that I somehow missed. (via)

.

Caught Oscar Isaac in Sucker Punch last week - where I felt driven to comment that he had nearly as much make-up on as Carla Gugino did, and she was wearing A LOT of make-up - and then his name popped out at me the very next day when the trailer for Drive wowed me so. he's having a moment! He's also in Madonna's upcoming directorial debut W.E. and the fourth Bourne movie. (these pics are from Ridley Scott's Robin Hood)

Jason Momoa: Sun & Stars or Sand & Surf?
.
.
And a happy 32nd birthday to him today.
.

.

Sigh. Even when it appears that someone is threatening to hit Hugh Jackman in the nuts he seems so gosh-darned happy! He's living the life. All teeth and abs everywhere, singing and dancing and doing crunches and splashing around.

shots of a decidedly less happy looking Sam Worthington.

Meanwhile here's sad-sack Sam,
wading around in his own furry despair:

.

And happy 38th birthday, Eduardo Noriega!
