... he could even be bottomless (which is how John Carter spends a hefty chunk of his time on Mars, famous skimpily-outfitted art be damned - it should be skimpier), but all I know from the teaser poster for John Carter, Pixar's live-action adaptation starring Taylor Kitsch as the titular well-titted hero, is that... he is apparently nipple-less?
Anyway I've been wondering when the hell the we'd be getting something, anything, for this movie, so I shouldn't complain that the first crack in the dam's appeared. The film started filming way back in January of 2010 and is out in March of next year. Next stop: Gimme Tars Tarkas!!!
I've only read the first three books of the John Carter saga and the first's actually my least favorite so far - I really kind of loved the second one, but know there's no way they'll keep its explicit anti-religion vibe alive for a film adaptation. Boo.
